Estifanos Alemu
senior Pastor
Pastor Estifanos Alemu is the Senior Pastor of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Minnesota (EECMN). He was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and came to faith in Jesus Christ at age 16. After moving to the U.S. in 1999, he became an active member of EECMN, serving in various ministries.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible and Psychology from the University of Northwestern in 2004, followed by a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in 2006.
From 2007 to 2017, Pastor Estifanos served as EECMN’s youth and assistant pastor. That year, he returned to Minnesota to lead EECMN as its Senior Pastor, a role he embraced with the full support of the congregation.
Pastor Estifanos has been married to Meron since 2004, and together they have three children: Dagem, Blain, and Selam.
