Children Ministry Welcome
Message:
This generation of children
will face more trials and temptations than any other! Today, as we get ready to
move with the Spirit of God prophesied long before, the enemy is simultaneously
launching unprecedented attack on our children. He knows if he has our seed, our
children, he will have our tomorrow. That's why we are here!
At the Children's Ministry,
our vision is to make a powerful difference in each child's life, until each is
touched and ignited by the love and Presence of God. It is our hearts desire to
raise up a generation of young people through whom God will do His last and
quick work for He has said,
" I will pour out My Spirit on all people.
Your sons and
daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions."
Joel 2:28
Visions and
Outreaches:
- Sunday School:
We have Sunday school classes
designed to meet the need of different age groups. The bible is taught and the
children are encouraged to actively participate. We don't baby sit the
children. We feed them the word of God through Spirit filled bible studies and
committed teachers.
- Worship:
Every Sunday we have a worship time where all children
gather together to worship and have intimate time with the Lord.
- Intercessory Group:
A group of 8-12 children meet faithfully every Sunday to
pray for the salvation of children and a powerful move of God in the
children's ministry as well as in the church.
- The Puppetry Group:
This group has been a powerful tool to reach the
children in a way they can relate, as well as giving a chance to the children
to minister to others their age. We currently have 6-8 half-size puppets and
one huge stage complete with the curtain. We use the puppet skits from Mark
Harper Ministries.
- Conferences/Outreaches:
Will be a time of worshiping the Lord, listening
to His word and also a time of reaching out to other children by going where
they are.
- Worship Weekend:
There is a two-day worship weekend for children
organized by Mark Harper Ministries. We have been faithful participants of
this great outreach since its inception three years ago. Our teachers,
children and youth have been profoundly affected by the experience. This year
a group of 65 children, parents and teachers were able to participate from our
church. God blessed us immensely as hundreds of children worshipped and listen
to the word together. We plan to take as many children as we can next year.
- Picnics:
We had picnic at the Como Zoo last year as a group. It
was a wonderful time of fellowship and fun. There will be more this year!!!
